The Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) IEC Awareness Campaign concluded today after a two-week-long initiative in East Jaintia Hills.
The campaign, which began on June 18, covered three blocks – Wapung, Saipung and Lumshnong – and sensitised residents on various government schemes and services, including PMAY, PM-KISAN and PMMSY.
Officials from line departments interacted with community members, guiding them on procedures for accessing these schemes. Informative IEC materials were also displayed, providing guidance on flagship schemes and programmes.
The campaign aimed to ensure that no eligible tribal household is left out of government entitlements, promoting inclusive and sustainable development in tribal regions.
The DAJGUA initiative is part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh celebrations, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
