The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Community College (DDUCC) and Skill Development Centre in Wahiajer, a constituent community college of NEHU, inaugurated its ‘Golden Jubilee Community Hall’ today.
The hall was paid for by the Jaintia Hills Cement Manufacturers’ Association (JHCMA).
This followed a workshop on ‘Organic and Integrated Farming in Modern Agriculture’, which brought together 300 farmers from Jaintia Hills. The resource persons of the workshop delivered practical demonstration and interactive sessions with hands-on experience in organic and integrated farming with modern agriculture.
One of those who spoke on the occasion was NEHU Vice-Chancellor PS Shukla, who addressed the gathering virtually; he has yet to return to Meghalaya following large-scale protests at NEHU’s Shillong campus directed at his way of running the varsity.
