Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today called on Union Minister Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan and apprised him of issues faced by people at the grassroots in implementation of community-led interventions under MGNREGA in Meghalaya.
The chief minister urged the union minister to intervene in the release of pending wages for financial year 2023-24 and to streamline the usage of National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS) App for remote areas.
The NMMS App is used to capture the attendance of Mahatma Gandhi NREGS workers to ensure more transparency in the implementation of the scheme.
He also sought clearing of material liabilities.
