The Umsning Block Congress Committee organised a public meeting yesterday to officially announce the party’s candidate for the upcoming 2025 MDC election from Umsning constituency.
Thousands of supporters and Congress party leaders were present and they pledged their full support to Rocky A Marwein as the Congress candidate.
SW Rymbai, serving as the district observer for the Congress, attended the event and formally declared Marwein as the official candidate for the MDC 2025 election from Umsning. Other prominent attendees included the president of the Ri-Bhoi District Congress Committee, MG Kharshanlor.
Expressing his gratitude, Marwein shared his joy at being chosen as the Congress candidate and appreciated the overwhelming support from party leaders, supporters and the public. He assured everyone that their steadfast backing would lead to a resounding victory in the upcoming election.
