The Employment Monitoring Cell of the Khasi Students’ Union has urged the Chief Secretary to reschedule the date of examination for the post of LDA.
The District Selection Committee (DSC) of Eastern West Khasi Hills District will hold the examination, which falls on the same date with another LDA examination conducted by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) on December 14.
The union said this will deprive candidates of competing in both the examinations.
“It is a fact that employment in the government sector is saturated, and when such advertisements and posts are released, it attracts thousands of candidates to apply for such posts, but it will be an injustice to them if they are not provided an opportunity to sit for the examination,” the KSU said.
