It is with deep anguish, sadness and remorse for the family of Late Aibok Madur who was attached to the Fire and Fury unit of his regiment, a true braveheart and a hero who put his life in the line of duty in the Siachen Glacier.
It is very unfortunate and distressing that no statement from the State government which in most cases offers sympathy condolences. Neither was the Chief Minister nor his cabinet ministers, nor the local MLA, MDC leave alone the top level officials being present to welcome his body, while in other states top officials are always present.
I pen this column with utmost gratitude to the defence authorities and the village dorbar for shouldering this great martyr who will be remembered for generations to come.
