One person was killed and another injured when a scooty collided with a Mahindra Marazo at Bamon village in South West Khasi Hills district, police said today.
The accident occurred yesterday when the vehicle (AS 03 AA 3177) collided with a scooty (ML 12 1979) on its way from Keniong to Ranikor.
The rider identified as 35-year old Balsan Arengh of Chijong Chiring village was declared brought dead by the doctors at Mawkyrwat Civil Hospital. The pillion rider, Happyrose Thongni of Nongnah village received minor injuries.
All six occupants of the vehicle including the driver, Motiur Rahman of Assam were also sent for medical check up and discharged, police said.
