In an operation yesterday, Border Security Force (BSF) troops in collaboration with the Meghalaya police apprehended seven Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian facilitators near the international border.
In view of ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, BSF Meghalaya has assessed and heightened security along the Indo-Bangladesh border, adopting a multi-tier domination strategy, a press release informed today.
All the apprehended illegal migrants along with the two Indian facilitators were handed over to police for further legal action.
