The North East Centre for Technology Application and Research (NECTAR) organised a five-day program at the Jio Institute campus in Ulwe, Navi Mumbai for scholars of the region.
The programme which concluded on July 5 brought together 17 PhD scholars and 4 MSc students from diverse fields such as Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Physics, and Mining.
The Academic Research Connect & Immersion (ARCI) program was designed to provide these bright minds with the opportunity to present their research papers to an esteemed audience comprising faculty members, industry leaders, students, and the leadership at Jio Institute.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, particularly for students from the serene yet industrially limited North East region of India, who often have a limited awareness of industrial opportunities.
The program provided a crucial platform for North East students to engage with industrial leaders and understand the myriad possibilities that lie at the intersection of academic research and industry applications. It also fostered networking opportunities, enabling students to forge lasting partnerships that will benefit their future careers.
The program featured renowned speakers who enlightened the students with their insights. Additionally, students had the opportunity to visit various industries, from textile factories to the cutting-edge Reliance 5G centre, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of industrial operations and innovations.
