The state government has effected a major reshuffle in the state bureaucracy.
In a notification issued today, RM Kurbah has been reinstated as Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, replacing SC Sadhu, who was appointed to the role ahead of the recently-concluded Lok Sabha election.
Sadhu has been posted and transferred as Secretary in the Community and Rural Development Department, Fisheries Department, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department and Water Resources Department and as Director of Community and Rural Development.
Abhilash Baranwal, Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi.
Shivansh Awasthi, Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills, has been transferred and posted as DC of East Jaintia Hills.
Meanwhile, Pilot R Marak, Additional Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills, shall look after the office of the SGH Deputy Commissioner, the notification stated.
