The 17th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme will be released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in Varanasi.
More than 9.26 crore farmers will receive benefits amounting to more than Rs 20,000 crore, a press release informed today.
At 50 selected Krishi Vikas Kendras (KVKs), a special event will be organised where farmers will join the event. In these centres, several Union Ministers will also visit and interact with the farmers. In Meghalaya, Satish Chandra Dubey, Minister of State of Coal, Mines will attend the programme to be held at ICAR Umiam.
The PM will also distribute certificates to more than 30,000 self-help groups (SHGs) trained as Krishi Sakhis to work as para extension workers
