In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise Department staff of East Khasi Hills conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where seven cases were uncovered in February, wherein indigenous liquor totalling 41.20 litres and 28.40 litres of IMFL were seized.
Four persons were arrested in connection with these cases under the Excise Act, a press release informed today.
