The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, a right-wing students’ organisation, is undertaking a student exchange programme wherein 75 individuals from the Indian mainland are visiting North East states to promote national integration.
Ten students from seven states are in Meghalaya and, as part of their trip, they visited the Assam Rifles headquarters in Laitkor and saw the war memorial and museum there.
The exchange students also visited the North Eastern Council secretariat.
