3 dry days for Durga Puja
The Deputy Commissioner (Excise) of East Khasi Hills has declared three dry days on account of Durga Puja – October 22-24.
All bonded warehouses, micro-breweries, IMFL off- and on-licensees, home-made wine licensees, wine and beer licensees, home delivery licensees, canteens and outstills shall remain closed on the above mentioned dates.
Food Safety office moves
The Deputy Commissioner of Food Safety has informed the general public that the office of the Commissioner of Food Safety has shifted its office from the Health Complex in Laitumkhrah to its own building at Lower Lachumiere near the office of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
Local holiday in EKH for Shad Nongkrem
All state government offices, revenue and magisterial courts and educational institutions in East Khasi Hills shall remain closed as a local holiday on November 2, 2023 on account of Shad Nongkrem. This was informed by the Secretary of the General Administration Department.
