The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Meghalaya and other states of the North East till September 1.
According to the IMD, the monsoon trough continues to run along the foothills of the Himalayas and it is likely to remain along the foothills of Himalayas during next five days and trigger heavy rains in the North East.
