After winning a bronze medal at a mixed martial arts championship held at Uzbekistan in April, Lorenza Songthiang of Laitkor will represent India at the World Combat Games in pankration, to be held at Riyadh Saudi Arabia in October.
Songthiang will be flying to Thailand tomorrow and will start her training in Thailand from August 6.
Pankration is akin to modern mixed martial arts, though the name goes back to Ancient Greece.
