NITI Aayog’s damning ranking of Meghalaya as the second worst in terms of a range of development markers was based on 2018-19 data, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said today.
Once the report for 2020 and after is ready, Sangma said he felt sure that the state’s ranking will improve markedly.
“There’s no data of 2020, 2021 and 2022, which is where we have seen most of our economic projects,” the CM, who came to power in 2018, said.
