The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya rescued 37 cattle that were in the process of being smuggled into Bangladesh yesterday along the international border in East Khasi Hills.
Acting on a specific tip-off, a special ambush party of the BSF’s 193rd Battalion challenged the smugglers, who then fled while leaving the cattle behind.
The seized cattle were handed over to police for further necessary action.
