The office of the Project Director, Meghalaya AIDS Control Society has informed that ARV drugs for PLHIV both adult and children doses are available at all ART Centres.
The supply chain committee comprising of programme officers from different divisions to monitor and to ensure uninterrupted supply of all ARV medicines from SACS to the ART centres has also been formed, a release today said, adding, that office is working in close coordination with all the ART centres in the state to ensure availability of all ARV medicines both adult and paediatric on a regular basis.
“Till date we have not experience any shortages of ARV medicines in the state, currently a minimum of two months stock is available in all the ART Centres. We are putting a lot of hard work to improve the Supply Chain Management and to ensure that all the PLHIV’s visiting the centres get their medicines accordingly,” the project director said.
Quoting a newspaper report on short supply of HIV drugs in the North East the project director said there is no instance of shortages of ARV medicines in Meghalaya.
