Dr. Andrew Simons, Commissioner and Secretary, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, has expressed his sadness on the passing away of veteran legislator, HDR Lyngdoh.
In a condolence message on behalf of all the officers and staff of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Dr. Simons said that late Lyngdoh was one of the seasoned and veteran legislator. His long innings in the assembly demonstrates the love and support that he enjoyed with his people.
Lyngdoh was equally a good orator and an able administrator and in his passing away, the people have lost a leader who has always worked for the upliftment of his people and the society, Dr. Simons said.
Lyngdoh, who was a UDP candidate and former Home Minister passed away yesterday due to cardiac arrest.
Meanwhile, the UDP Sohiong circle has informed that Lyngdoh will be laid to rest on February 23 at 11 am.
