The Congress has filed a complaint against defacing of the Shillong city by posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P.Nadda.
Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary of Sanjay Das has written to the District Election Officer of East Khasi Hills requesting the office to remove the posters from government properties at the earliest.
He stated that the posters pasted on public properties like electric poles, traffic islands in various parts of the city have defaced the city of Shillong.
Das stated that the posters which do not have any approvals, violates the Model Code of Conduct.
