A workshop “Meghalaya Next – Brainstorming the Future” was held at Pinewood Hotel here today.
Chief Secretary Donald P Wahlang chaired the workshop in the presence of senior officials of the state government.
The aim of the workshop is to provide a platform and bring all the administrative sectors to discuss, deliberate and to form a coherent roadmap for the overall development of the state for the next five years and beyond.
The workshop saw the participation of senior officers from the Community & Rural Development Department, Health & Family Welfare Department, Social Welfare Department, Education Department, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare Department, Food & Civil Supplies Department, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Public Works Department, Water Resources Department, Urban Affairs Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Power Department, Soil & Water Conservation Department, Information, Communication & Technology Department, Commerce & Industries Department, Labour Department, Finance Department, Tourism Department, Forest & Environment Department, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Law Department and Home Department.
