In separate operations, police in South West Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi conducted raids against illegal liquor in the respective districts.
In South West Khasi Hills, police seized 105 litres of illicit liquor on Sunday at Gomaghat. On Saturday night, vice raids were conducted by Ri-Bhoi police at Nongpoh, Wahlakhar, Rajabagan, Mawhati, Byrnihat, Kyrdeng, Umiam Pilangkata, Patharkhmah and Baridua areas and seized 9.915 litres of IMFL and 81.5 litres of country made illicit liquor.
