Leaders and around 1500 individuals under Mawphlang Constituency have decided to nominate Wossie Rani to contest on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket during the upcoming Assembly elections 2023.
A public gathering was held today wherein the leaders comprising of Kyntiewborlang Syiemlieh, Nolandro Lyngdoh, Everson Marbaniang, Mayborn Marbaniang, Dherilang Jaba, Roystar Rani, Win Kharryngki and others proposed Rani to the people and said they had also proposed his name to BJP party workers in Mawphlang.
Rani, a resident of Pyndengkhah under Hima Nongspung, is a fit candidate for the constituency, the leader said, adding that development is what they wanted and only the BJP is capable of giving it to the people.
The leaders said Rani’s name will be proposed to the state party leadership.
Rani called for unity and hard work in pushing the cause of the people for the overall development of the constituency. He said the area has not seen development in the past and people who are dependent on agriculture are being ignored.
