Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested with seven grams of heroin by the West Khasi Hills ANTF today.
Based on a tip off, the team had carried out vehicle checks at Jaidohkroh under Ksehkohlong village and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number ML-05M-1175 driven by one Teiborlin Myrthong.
Police said during search the drug was recovered hidden in seven tin containers.
The team also seized an empty tin container, two syringes, two cell phone and Rs 1505 from the possession of a passenger identified as Riboklang Lyngdoh of Mawiong Lumsyntiew, Nongstoiñ.
Further, 33 empty plastic tubes were also recovered and seized from the vehicle, police added.
