The state-level Children Science Congress as part of the 30th National Children’s Science Congress-2022 will be held on November 3 and 4 at the Shillong College auditorium, from 9: 30am onwards.
The programme is a country-wide event which aims to provide children in the age group of 10-17 years an opportunity to discover and recognise their scientific temperament and use their knowledge to make their ideas come true. Children are to identify real life issues around them and try to find solutions by applying Science.
A number of science projects categorised into junior group (aged 10-14) and senior group (aged 14-17 years) have been shortlisted to present their projects during the programme.
The best eight projects will be selected to represent the State at the National Level to be held at Science City Ahmedabad, Gujarat from January 27 to 31.
Cash prizes of Rs 5000 each will also be given to top 10 projects, OSD to the State Council of Science, Technology and Environment, AS Suting said in a press release.
