KHADC Chief Executive Member Titosstarwell Chyne today called on Hima Mylliem, whose jurisdiction extends up to the border with Assam, not to fail in its responsibility to ensure that land is not sold by non-Khasis to the neighbouring state.
“It is Hima Mylliem’s duty to see that this doesn’t happen because there are cases where non-Khasis are selling away lands under the Hima’s jurisdiction to Assam,” he said.
He also assured that a full-fledged Syiem for Hima Mylliem will take charge soon. Currently, the Hima is under an Acting Syiem.
