The National People’s Youth Front today took a jibe at the Trinamool Congress and said its leaders stink of scams and cheating.
The youth wing of the National People’s Party (NPP) said the TMC has been making numerous and baseless allegations against them without substantiating their claims, but they already have a report compiled on how TMC leaders are involved in all sorts of scams.
NPYF president, Nicky Nongkhlaw said that AITC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee is connected to a money laundering case linked to the Bengal Coal scam while other leaders like Partha Chatterjee, Anubrata Mondal, Vinay Mishra, Manik Bhattacharya are also involved in several scams.
“The people of Meghalaya truly deserve better and not with the mind of ideology that TMC has,” he stated.
Nongkhlaw warned that the TMC is an anti-farmer party and harmful for an agrarian state like Meghalaya.
“Let people also be reminded that the top leadership of the party is in support of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. In 2020, Mamata Banerjee gave an open statement that all Bangladeshi migrants settled in West Bengal are Indian citizens. This is the same party which is ironically talking about ILP in Meghalaya. It is a question to Mukul Sangma, why is he supporting a party which supports illegal Bangladeshi immigration?” he said.
Nongkhlaw said the people are better judges on how the Chief Minister has delivered and contributed for the overall development of the State.
“The NPP-led MDA government is doing all that it can and we should remember we cannot undo what other past governments have left …we are working for the benefit of the people and to take the state forward,” he added.
