Rohan Agrawal, a youth from Nagpur stopped in Shillong while on a planned walk that will take him to Siberia.
The 20-year-old has walked 10,000km across 26 states and more than 720 days.
He met and was encouraged in his journey by Bharatiya Janata Party state president Ernest Mawrie today.
Agrawal’s intention is to highlight and create awareness about plastic and its hazardous effects, while also promoting the idea of unity in diversity. He has visited several schools and colleges in this vein.
His target is to reach Omyakon, one of the coldest permanently inhabited places in the world.
