Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will hoist the national flag and take the salute at the ceremonial parade on Independence Day in Shillong.
Cabinet ministers will do the honours in the other district headquarters, namely Brolding Nongsiej at Nongstoin, Dasakhiatbha Lamare at Nongpoh, Hamletson Dohling at Jowai, Deputy CM Prestone Tynsong at Tura, James PK Sangma at Williamnagar, Thomas A Sangma at Baghmara, Timothy D Sangma at Resubelpara, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar at Mawkyrwat, Marcuise N Marak at Ampati, Kyrmen Shylla at Khliehriat and Speaker of the Assembly Metbah Lyngdoh at Mairang.
In the sub-divisional headquarters, the ministers who will hoist the flag and take the salute will be Banteidor Lyngdoh at Sohra, Lahkmen Rymbui at Amlarem, Sanbor Shullai at Dadenggre, Macmillan Byrsat at Pynursla, Rupert Momin at Chokpot, Abdus Saleh at Raksamgre, Gigur Myrthong at Mawshynrut and Pius Marwein at Ranikor.
In the administrative unit of Patharkhmah, Sosthenes Sohtun will do the honours and in Hima Shangpung, Laskein block, it will be Comingone Ymbon.
