The State government has carried out a minor reshuffle in the State bureaucracy.
According to the order Matsiewdor War Nongbri (IAS) who is the Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management etc has been appointed as Director, Land Records and Survey in addition to her existing departments.
J P Lakiang (MCS) who is the Joint Secretary, Education has been relieved of his post as Director, Land Records and Survey.
Shivansh Awathi (IAS) who is the Under Secretary, Finance will also function as Director, Employment and Craftsmen Training.
Anita Kharpor (MCS), Joint Secretary, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, has been relieved of her function as Director, Employment and Craftsmen Training.
Mitali Chandra (IAS) who is the Under Secretary, Health and Family Welfare and Additional Mission Director, National Health Mission has been transferred and posted as Under Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and as Labour Commissioner. She will however continue as Director, Meghalayan Age Limited.
Hazel D B Sangma (MCS), Joint Secretary, Home (Political) has been relieved of her function as Labour Commissioner.
Felicia M. Lakiang (MCS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ri-Bhoi District has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, Home (Political). She will also function as Deputy Secretary, Home (Police) and Deputy Secretary, Meghalaya Lokayukta.
Balakyntiew Rani (MCS), Deputy Secretary, Home (Political & Police) and Deputy Secretary, Meghalaya Lokayukta has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ri-Bhoi District.
Diana G. Sangma (MCS), Extra Assistant Commissioner, East Garo Hills has been transferred and posted as Extra Assistant Commissioner, Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division.
Laureate R. Hynniewta (MCS), Extra Assistant Commissioner, Eastern West Khasi Hills has been transferred and posted as Extra Assistant Commissioner, Pynursla Civil Sub-Division.
Walden R. Massar, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Ri-Bhoi has transferred and posted as Extra Assistant Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills.
