The general secretary of the A’chik Organization for Social Welfare (AOSW) has condemned the failure of certain government departments to abide by provisions of the Right to Information Act 2005.
Premiar N Sangma claimed that requests for important information in many cases are ignored or replied with incorrect answers.
Sangma has consulted lawyers on what course of action to take against these departments and officials in the interests of transparency and accountability.
