The All India Trinamool Congress-Meghalaya (AITC-M) today constituted its block committee in North Shillong constituency with Elgiva Gwyneth Rynjah as the block president.
Leader of opposition Dr Mukul Sangma addressed the new block committee and stated that under AITC, everyone is a part of the great story of bringing transformative changes in the process of building the state.
He stressed on the masses integral involvement in the political system and urged them to take ownership of their state.
Sangma further added that the state is governed by law and order and when people are not deterred by law and continue to engage in criminal activities, the betterment of the state is interrupted.
AITC MLA George B Lyngdoh stated that TMC has shown luminous governance for the past thirteen years in Bengal. Irrespective of caste and creed, the party’s secular aims and equal governance would bring peace to Meghalaya.
He added that the emblematic two grassroot flowers symbolise the integrity and intention to uplift the downtrodden.
