The Achik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM), South Western Zone has demanded immediate repair of the Ampati to Purakhasia road through Salmanpara.
In a statement today, the AHAM zone general secretary Wester Sangma pointed out that the road is an important link for hundreds of villages and how its dilapidated condition has inconvenienced the people of the area.
He said that the 36 km road was first constructed between 2012-2016 by the PWD by implementing the German technology. However, this is just in the name as road was left devastated and unrepaired.
“We demand equal development for the interest of the general public and thousands of students of Salmanpara area,” Sangma said.
