Eighteen trainees of the 48th batch of field assistants of the Conservation Training Institute in Byrnihat were today felicitated by the Department of Soil and Water Conservation in the passing out ceremony.
Out of 18 trainees enrolled during the 2021-22 session, 15 are from the Soil Conservation Department of Assam, two from Arunachal Pradesh and one trainee from the Soil and Water Conservation Division in Resubelpara.
Dr Joram Beda, Secretary of Soil and Water Conservation, graced the function as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Beda congratulated the trainees for completing the 11-month course, a necessity before they start their service in their respective departments.
During the ceremony, merit certificates and trophies were awarded to the trainees who secured highest marks in different subjects.
