The State government has not cleared payment amounting to Rs 342 crore to suppliers of materials for MGNREGS works in the State.
Informing this during question hour in the Assembly today, Community and Rural Development Minister Hamletson Dohling said that a proposal had been sent to the Rural Development Ministry in October last year for sanctioning of funds.
He also said that the Centre bears 75 per cent of the expenditure while 25 per cent is borne by the State government.
“Our team is in touch with the ministry and hopefully within these few days, we will get the sanction from the Government of India,” Dohling said.
