South Shillong MLA and cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai inaugurated a newly-constructed feeder road connecting Mynsain Forest Road to the Buddhist Temple at Upper Lumparing yesterday.
The project was sanctioned at a cost of around Rs 1.35 crore and has been described as a 30-year dream of the residents of the area.
In his speech, Shullai expressed his thanks to the landowners who donated their property for the project and to the Dorbar Shnong of Upper Lumparing, the Public Works Department and the state government for ensuring that the project was completed at the earliest once finally sanctioned.
