Seventy-two meritorious student of Nongtrai village were felicitated by the Lafarge Umiam Mining Private Limited (LUMPL) and the dorbar shnong.
The annual felicitation programme was held on February 14 at the village. The students were those who excelled in their various fields of studies for the academic year 2020-21
To ensure COVID protocol is followed, Certificates & Scholarships for meritorious students from classes I to IX were handed over to the different school authorities, who then handed over the same to the students in their respective schools.
The programme felicitated Skhemborlang Marwein, an athlete from Nongtrai Village, who passed out from the wholly sponsored school of LUMPL – the Nongtrai Secondary School (NSS).
He is the gold medal winner of the National Muay Thai competition that was held in Manipur recently.
Executive members of the Nongtrai Village Durbar, CSR officials of LUMPL, Teachers and parents of the students were present during the programme.
