The court of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Judicial), West Khasi Hills district has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murder committed in 2017.
The court in a verdict passed on January 18, made available to the press today, convicted Drolly L. Nonglait and he was also ordered to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.
West Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Herbert G Lyngdoh said on December 19, 2017 the man had murdered one Phrando Marwein of Dombah village, Pariong at a paddy field.
A case was registered at Nongstoiñ police station.
