Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today distributed cheques amounting to Rs13.70 Lakhs to 17 Producer Groups at Zikzak in South West Garo Hills through the Farmer’s Collectivization for Upscaling Production and Marketing Systems (FOCUS) programme.
FOCUS is Meghalaya’s biggest Farmers’ welfare program and through it, the Govt envision to make a positive impact in the lives and livelihoods of the farmers.
Interacting with the producers group, Chief Minister said that the State government will work closely with farmers’ organisation to ensure that they get maximum support to leverage their agricultural activities.
He also informed that the government is committed towards welfare of farmers and would continue to provide financial assistance under the FOCUS programme.
