A three-day international conference on Frontiers in Computing and Systems (COMSYS)-2021 was today inaugurated at the North-Eastern Hill University.
The conference is being organised by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Department of Information Technology in association with IEEE Computer Chapter, Kolkata Section, and the COMSYS steering committee, Kolkata.
COMSYS-2021 is being organized in hybrid mode for the presentation of papers to provide a platform to the students, researchers, academicians, and people from industry to achieve the insight and deep understanding of the topics Image, Video & Signal Processing; Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Data Science; VLSI, Devices & Systems; Computer Networks, Communication & Security; Biomedical & Bioinformatics; Internet of Things, Cloud & Mobile Computing; Computer Intelligence, and Computational Biology, Security, and VLSI.
Expert speakers from the USA, Poland, Germany, and Slovakia are attending the conference to present emerging topics in computing and systems. An ‘industry connect’ panel discussion session is also in place with experts from Hitachi Australia, Wipro India, and an Entrepreneur from the USA.
COMSYS-2021 received considerable global and national attention, with technical program committee members and reviewers from 30+ different countries voluntarily participated in the technical process. Participants from 12 countries outside India and 10 different states in India have registered to attend the conference.
The inauguration today was attended by the Chief Patron of the COMSYS-2021 and NEHU Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. S. Shukla, Prof. Debotosh Bhattacharjee of Jadavpur University, Prof. Subhadip Basu, Registrar of North-Eastern Hill University, Dr. J. N Nayak and others.
