Workers Power Meghalaya (WPM) has expressed its support to protesting casual healthcare workers in Ri-Bhoi, who held a protest yesterday for various demands.
The health workers, employed by the Health Department, want their jobs be regularised and they also demanded timely disbursal of their salaries.
WPM general secretary Kenneth Swer said that the health workers deserve to be regularised and get the same pay and benefits that their colleagues with permanent jobs receive.
