State Arts and Culture Minister, Sanbor Shullai today met Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, G. K. Reddy in New Delhi and sought the ministry’s support in development efforts undertaken by the department.
Shullai placed before the ministry for early sanction for construction of the New Rabindranath Tagore Culture complex at Rilbong here under the Tagore cultural complex (TCC) scheme for the state of Meghalaya.
He said this will be a “token of appreciation” for Meghalaya on its 50 years of statehood in 2022.
Shullai also ask the Union Minister to release the pending projects for Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation which was initiated when he was the chairman of the corporation.
Reddy has assured to look into the matters, a statement from Shullai’s office said.
