Meghalaya Planning Board chairman, Lambor Malngiang met Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga today in Aizawl to discuss important issues relating to economic development for both states.
Informing the Mizoram chief minister on how he closely works with the Mizo community and many sub-tribes of Mizoram in Nongkrem constituency, Malngiang hoped that the bond between the two states would continue to flourish.
Zoramthanga echoed the importance of nurturing good relations between the two states, and said that should any situation arise where Mizoram can assist Meghalaya in the development of its economy, Mizoram shall do its best.
After his meeting with the Chief Minister, Malngiang met with Mizoram Planning Board Vice Chairman H. Rammawi followed by a meeting with NGO leaders of the state.
Malngiang was accompanied by Dr. Krishna Chauhan, Expert Member (Economist) Meghalaya State Planning Board and Enrich GL Nongbri, Law Department.
