An amount of Rs 26, 75, 68,000 under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) was released to 1, 33,784 farmers of Meghalaya today by the Central government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the ninth installment of financial benefit under PM-Kisan today through video conference. The Prime Minister also interacted with farmer beneficiaries during the event.
An amount of more than Rs 19,500 crores was transferred to more than 9.75 crores beneficiary farmer families in the country today under this ninth installment of financial benefit under PM-Kisan.
The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries registered under PM-Kisan.
PM-Kisan is a Central government scheme launched by the Modi-led government in 2018 to help the farmers of the country.
Under this scheme, the government provides income support of Rs 6,000 per year to all the eligible farmer families.
The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers in three equal installments each year.
All the landholding farmers’ families are given the financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year per family in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each in every four months.
It may be mentioned that Modi had released the eighth installment of the financial benefit of PM-Kisan in May this year.
