Power minister, James Sangma today met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, along with the NPP unit of the party to push forward the case of upgradation of the Dadenggre Civil Sub Division into a full-fledged district.
The demand for a separate district had earlier been raised by various civil society groups who opined the area needed to have a separate administration to bring development closer to people.
James in a statement here said that the Chief Minster gave positive assurance to fulfill the aspirations of the people in Dadenggre.
The positive response of the Hon’ble Chief Minister comes as an aspiration for the people of Dadenggre, who continue to work selflessly to see the overall growth of the civil sub-division.
He added that the upgradation of the sub division into a district will immensely benefit the people of Dadenggre while also bringing the administration closer to the people.
