National Lok Adalat was today held across Meghalaya in which 133 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 40, 49, 334.3 was settled.
The number of cases taken up at the Lok Adalat was 664, out of which, 319 are Pre-Litigation cases and 345 pending cases.
Held under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) the National Lok Adalat was organised in all the districts of the State, except West Jaiñtia Hills district. It was held under the supervision of the Justice R. V. More also the Executive Chairman of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority.
