Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has written to Arvind Kejriwal and Manohar Khattar, the Chief Ministers of Delhi and Haryana respectively, to look into the deaths of two Garos in New Delhi and Gurugram, urging them to constitute an inquiry into the circumstances behind the loss of life.
Samuel and Rose Sangma, from Dimapur, died on separate occasions.
“I have spoken to the family members of late Samuel Sangma and they had told me that they will be filing an FIR very soon and therefore we were waiting for those to be filed in the meantime I have received a representation from the Nagaland Garo Tribal Council on July 5,” the Chief Minister said.
Various groups of the region especially Meghalaya had asked the state government to probe into mysterious deaths of the two Garo youths.
