A 50-bed Community Corona Care Centre (CCC) for male patients has been set up at Seng Khasi Higher Secondary School in the Jaiaw Laitdom neighbourhood here.
This is the second such Community CCC in the area under Lumdiengjri Police Station.
The centre was inaugurated in a brief function held yesterday with words of prayer from an elder of the Seng Khasi Kmie, Skor Jala.
During the function, local MDC Paul Lyngdoh lauded the efforts of frontline workers and shared his thoughts on ways to help support the mental and emotional wellbeing of Covid patients.
Meanwhile, local MLA Adelbert Nongrum promised to extend his continued support towards this cause.
