The Meghalaya government has created a medical oxygen dashboard for better tracking of oxygen stock in the state.
Informing this today in a tweet, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said the matter was decided at a review meeting on the Covid situation in Meghalaya here today.
According to Sangma, the number of coronavirus patients on oxygen, number of oxygen beds in hospitals and oxygen stock in all districts can be monitored through the dashboard.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the installation of oxygen plants that are underway in the state.
According to Sangma, three oxygen plants – one each at RP Chest Hospital, Ganesh Das Hospital and Nongpoh Civil Hospital – will be made operational by the end of this week.
The review meeting also took stock of the hospitalisation status of active cases and bed capacity at Corona Care Centres (CCCs) and Community CCCs. Modalities are being worked on to convert a few government buildings to CCCs in Shillong.
The progress of the vaccination drive was also assessed in the meeting.
“So far, we have administered over 4,35,621 doses of Covid vaccine in the state,” Sangma said.
